is pleased to present Julia Anghileri Ph.D.

Julia Anghileri is a senior lecturer in the University of Cambridge with an international reputation for her research on the teaching and learning of mathematics.
She has worked as a consultant in Europe, Australia and the USA. She is a member of the British Society for Research in Learning Mathematics (BSRLM) and the International Congress for Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME).
As a consultant to the National Numeracy Strategy and to the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority in the UK she has been influential in introducing changes to classroom practices that bring numeracy teaching and learning into the 21st century.
She has published many articles in journals and is the author of a number of books, including ‘Teaching Number Sense’, ‘Developing Number Sense’ and ‘Principles and Practices in Arithmetic Teaching’.
